Subject: Need your help - Thank you for endorsing Michigan's Pound Seizure Bill
Hi - If you are interested in stopping the practice of pound seizure in Michigan shelters, we need your help. I am a former Michigander and co-founder of Friends of Ingham County Animal Shelter (Lansing). In 2003, FICAS achieved a pound seizure ban in Ingham County. I then went on to help volunteers achieve a ban in Jackson County and now I'm assisting Eaton and Montcalm in their efforts. So this issue is near and dear to me. In the meantime, we have a state bill pending that your organization has endorsed.
I am now helping an animal rescue person in Michigan who is putting together a website to raise awareness regarding pound seizure in Michigan. As part of that, we are hoping to have a public endorsement page for the Michigan bill. If your shelter, animal welfare organization, or business is willing to sign an endorsement form and to have your organization's name and city listed on the website, please fill out the attached form and fax back to me. We are also expanding the endorsement list to include individual residents of Michigan . If you want to be personally listed, please fill the out the attached form and fax back to me to be included . And feel free to forward this email to anyone who might be interested in signing on.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
